Community Healthcare East - Mental Health Services provide specialist
mental health supports in Southeast Dublin and East Wicklow, serving
both urban and rural communities through HSE services and the Cluain
Mhuire Community Mental Health service.
These services are working towards developing a strong
recovery-oriented practice approach to service delivery and service
user engagement. The service is largely comprised of Community Mental
Health Teams (CMHT) that aim to offer support to people and their
supporters in their own home, in day services and the approved centres
that provide inpatient services.
Community Healthcare East is working towards implementing the
principles outlined in the HSE National Framework for Recovery in
Mental Health (**Apply on the website**). This is also in line with
Mental Health Ireland?s strategy? Mental Health for All ? Hope,

Priority Area 1, Objective 1.
Community Healthcare East is partnering with Mental Health Ireland to
continue to develop, deliver and embed recovery education in the
services. This initiative aims to promote an educational approach to
recovery in mental health. This is pursued through the development and
delivery of coproduced content in a range of community and inpatient
settings, with a clear emphasis on attending to personal narrative,
building relationships, and harnessing high quality adult learning.
Applicants will have a strong and demonstrable commitment to recovery
informed by their own lived experience, or that of a or family member.
Experience of co-production and facilitation of recovery education
programmes is important for this role.
THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE MUST DEMONSTRATE:
* Commitment to recovery informed by relevant lived experience of
mental health challenges or experience of supporting a family member
with their mental health challenges.
* A full understanding of, and familiarity with, the key documents
which guide recovery in mental health.
* Project design development and delivery skills and competencies.
* Demonstrable application of skills and knowledge developed in
gaining a qualification in health, education, or related field,
including the co-production of adult education.
* An understanding of how education and communication can promote
the cultural and organisational changes which support recovery in
mental health.
* Evidence of training and experience in the co-production of
recovery education training programmes and workshops.
* Demonstrated line management experience with a particular emphasis
on experience of supporting colleagues.
* Experience in the development and implementation of policies and
procedures.
